Clan Grant Abodes and Ardclach Church

Gervally is the property where Lachlan Grant, our GGGG grandfather was born.
Photos 1-7: Gervally and the surrounding gardens and pastures - we were taken by the natural beauty, solitary atmosphere, peacefulness and the smell of mowed pastures.
Airdrie : a property close-by where several of Lachlan's children lived with their maternal grandfather.
After the photo of the Airdrie homestead, there are about 6 photos of the home of Lachlan and Jane and the 7 children. This property was part of a row of homes owned by Earl Levin, who was the Lord of the Glenferness Estate. Today, the cottage is renamed Rose Cottage - the blacksmith's horseshoe still remains at the front door.
Final 2 photos of the Ardclach church where Jane Grant was married.
Clan Grant country: what an adventure of meaning and shared heritage for Jackson and myself.
No wonder Gram was so drawn to the Blue Mountains - the trees, the air, escarpments, the cold, resourceful people, bric-a-brac shops, solitude, cosy cafes, nature's seasons ....... lots of similarities and familiarities.
